Speakers evening

Wed, Apr 26th 2017 at 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm

Christine Belton makes a return visit, and her talk will be "The Memory Box".

This was a fine presentation of memories of children's games and womens corsetry. Joan introduced and James gave a magnificent vote of thanks.

Also a cheque for £1500 was presented to Marjorie Spencer, being the money raised at the recent Ladies Lunch in support of Kidneys for Life.

Najib was awarded the Lamplighter for his outstanding work in initiating, planning and implementing all the facets of the memorable event – celebrating the Centenary of The Rotary Foundation on Wednesday 19 April 2017. In accepting the award, Najib said he was indebted to members of the club and outsiders who sent him nearly 20 emails and text messages in appreciation of his work.

Thanks to John Palmer for photographs.
