Young Artist Results and Prizes

These young students from Catmose College aged up to 17 years were given this year’s difficult theme of “Wonderful Water” and as the following shows they did not disappoint.


 

There is an abundance of young creative talent in the Melton & Rutland area which every year is showcased by the various competitions which are organised by the Rotary clubs in our District.

These young students from Catmose College aged up to 17 years were given this year’s difficult theme of “Wonderful Water” and as the following shows they did not disappoint.

Local entries were judged earlier in the year to go forward to the District & National Finals, and you can see there were some amazing results.

Well done to all the students who entered the competition.

  1. Matilda won our Local Heat of the Senior Section of Young Artist, came 1st in the District Final and 3rd in the National Final. The photo shows her work on the theme of Wonderful Water, her certificate from the District Final and her prize voucher for £50.

 

  1. The photo shows Thinuli Kuttidge’s work depicting Wonderful Water. She was Runner-Up in our Local Heat and Second in the District Final. Her prize was a voucher for £25.

 

  1. Sofia Mohammed was Highly Commended in our Local Heat, but was unplaced in the District Final.

 

  1. Jenna Moorton Le Blanc won the Local Heat of the Intermediate Section of Young Artist and went on to win the District Final, but was unplaced in the National Final. The photo shows her work on Wonderful Water, her District Final Certificate and her prize voucher for £50.

 

  1. The photo shows Charlie French’s work depicting Wonderful Water, which was the Runner-Up in our Local Heat, and was placed 2nd in the District Final. It also shows her District Final certificate and prize voucher for £25.

 

  1. This photo shows Darcy Shephard’s work on the same theme, which was Highly Commended in the Local Heat, but unplaced in the District Final, alongside her District Final certificate.
