The Rotary club of Senlac
held its annual barbeque in Rotarian Pat and Judy Connor’s beautiful garden,
the Jazz picnic venue. Members, wives and partner’s enjoyed a bun fun filled evening under the welcome
gazebos on a cool summer’s evening. Giving a different slant on Service before
Self, Rotarians Geoff Gander and Robin Poll slaved over the hot coals producing
burgers, sausages and chicken while Judy and her daughter, Marcia, along with
several helpers prepared the salads and puds. Strangely, there was no shortage
of volunteers to man the bar or help dispose of the bar’s contents. It was, indeed, a lovely social
interlude of fellowship, fun and feasting. Our grateful thanks go to Pat and
Judy for their hospitality, and to them and all the helpers who made the
evening such a success.
