President’s Night Celebration - Over 60 members and guests attended the black tie event.

Rotary Club of Senlac President, Glyn Parry, managed to avoid seasonal jokes and japes when he hosted his President’s Night dinner, co-incidentally also his birthday, on Saturday 1st April 2017. Over 60 members and guests including the District Governor, Peter West, and Rotary Presidents from Bexhill, Battle, Hastings and St Leonards attended the Black Tie event at the Cooden Beach Hotel. District Governor Peter in toasting the Rotary Club of Senlac said, “I am proud of Senlac Rotary and its members who have made such a large contribution to the community and to Rotary District. The many events they undertake and the money raised is a real credit to them:” Peter then presented the club with a certificate from the Rotary Foundation signed by the Chair of the Foundation and the chair of Rotary International to recognise the club’s financial support for the EndPolioNow campaign. Peter also presented Rotarian David King with a certificate recognising his 25 years of service.

President Glyn replied to the toast and President Elect, Linda Fearn, proposed the toast to  the Ladies and Guests. Bexhill President, Geoff Longmire, replying to Linda said, “I congratulate Senlac Rotary for all the work they do and the sprit in which it is done. I have enjoyed the fellowship on the several occasions when I have been a guest, I particularly enjoy their in –house magazine which is always full of news and is not afraid to make fun of its own members!”

Following the dinner the guitar duo, Chris and Phil, entertained the audience.
