With the start of the new Rotary year, it was all round change in Senlac Rotary. On 6 July 2022 at the Highwoods Golf Club, Bexhill, President Geoff Gander passed the chain of officer to incoming President, Roger Young who now holds the office for a third time. Geoff took over as President in July 2022 during the Covid pandemic and agreed to stay for a second term as Covid recovery started. Thanking everyone for their great support Geoff said,” It was a hard time and managing meetings and business through Zoom was one of my worst moments. I wish Roger well and I think one of his priorities must be to increase membership”. Roger, in turn, thanked Geoff on behalf of the club for his two years of service through very tough times, and said, ” It’s time to rekindle our profile in the community and continue our fundraising. Sadly, we have lost the car show but we still have Music by the Lake. I’d particularly like to support ShelterBox and those people in dire needs but we do need to raise membership to help us.” Roger said how much we relied on partners and that he would like to involve them more in the club.
