The Rotary Club of Senlac’s prestigious Wendy Cocker Award for Endeavour for 2022 has been awarded to 24 year old Hannah Bryant. Hannah, the daughter of Senlac Rotarian Marcia, was the driving force behind the organisation of this year’s very successful Music by the Lake event, which was held over the August Bank Holiday, and raised around £5,500 which will be used to support local good causes including Dom’s Food Mission and Senlac Rotary’s own charity, The Yellowmen. Hannah attended Brighton University and obtained a degree in Textiles and Business Management before starting a career as a Social Media Executive advising companies how to maximise the use of various social media platforms to enhance their business. Hannah was delighted with the award, “I never expected this, it was such a surprise. I enjoyed working on the event and I am already planning for a bigger and better event next year.”
The Wendy Cocker Award was introduced in memory of Rotarian Wendy Cocker, a member of Senlac Rotary until her sad death in 2014. Wendy, a Rotarian for a number of years, was very active in her work for the community and young people.
