Bowls Evening

Rotarians from Senlac, Bexhill and Hastings rolled up at the Egerton Park Indoor Bowls Centre, Bexhill, on Wednesday 18^thNovember, in memory of the late Stuart Earl, a Senlac Rotarian and a champion of the Bexhill community. In an event arranged by the Rotary Club of Senlac over 30 Rotarians took part in a fun bowls competition while a large number of guests watched the antics. For a number of the people taking part the art of bowling was in itself a challenge but they all took part with determination, good spirit and hope. In the end it was congratulations to Bexhill who scored more than enough points to retain the trophy.

Deidre Earl, Stuart’s widow, presented the Stuart Earl Memorial Trophy to James Slinn, President of Bexhill Rotary Club. Individual awards went to Joe Holden of Hastings and to Peter Halligan of Bexhill.

Senlac Rotary would like to express their thanks to Terry Hodd, the Centre Manager, for organising the play, to Egerton Park IBC for use of the greens and to A & M catering for supplying a plentiful buffet.
