A party of ten including five Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Northampton Becket (“Rotary Becket”) recently travelled to Malawi to attend the handover of their latest project at Chitpi School near the capital Lilongwe.
The building includes a classroom block, vocational room and community room. In association with local builder George Kaimbe, Rotary Becket have over the last thirteen years been responsible for building a total of ten classrooms at the school.
The Club’s ambition over the next few years is to turn this rural school of 1500 learners into a beacon of Rotary achievement in partnership with the Rotary Club of Lilongwe.
