Three youngsters have received support from Kilrymont St Andrews Rotary Club.
Niamh Currie, a 14-year-old wheelchair user, received a cheque and certificate at the club’s meeting. Niamh was accompanied by Pamela Robson from Disability Sport Fife who is also Niamh’s coach.
Pamela said Niamh was an outstanding prospect who specialised in 100m-800m racing.
She has already represented Scotland at various events including a Diamond meet and recently an event at Stoke Mandeville.
Also receiving support from Rotary were two Fife Young Carers, Elisha Hornsby and Molly Johnston.
With Elisha (Molly was unable to be present) was Ross Cafferkey, a FYC leader with the group’s young adult carer team. Ross gave a talk about the charity and highlighted its support for the nearly 2000 young people in Fife who help provide care for parents, siblings and other family members.
Rotary president-elect David Gray presented the awards to the very deserving youngsters.
