Wrap Up Coat Collection

We are running Wrap Up in Devon again this year and collecting good second hand coats that, through working with local partners, go directly to people locally, who struggle to keep warm during the winter months.

Following the success of this project run in Devon for the first time in Devon in 2023, we are pleased to be working with project originators, Hands on London, and local partners again in October 2025 to collect and distribute clean, good quality second hand coats to people who need them and are looking to extend the project.

We are particularly grateful to Bideford and Torrington Rotary Clubs for their help with collections and Securitas in Exeter, South Molton CofE United Primary School and Fremington Primary School.

The collection of coats, for men, women, young people or children, I took place throughout October and November, with collection points in Cranbrook, Honiton, Ottery St Mary, South Molton, Tavistock and Torrington.

Coats collected will be distributed to charities and organisations that work with people who are in need of them.

This we received 750 donations last year, after unsuitable ones were removed.

We are grateful to the following public venues for being collection points:

Cranbrook - Cranbrook Help Scheme

Honiton - Tescos

Ottery St Mary - Ottery Help Scheme

South Molton - The Amory Centre, The Parish Church and Sainsburys

Tavistock - Fairway Furniture

Torrington - Bickford Centre

Coats will be distributed through local charities like Julian House, Ottery Help Scheme, Devon Libraries, The Salvation Army and others.
