Wrap Up Coat Collection

We ran Wrap Up in Devon and collected good second hand coats that, through working with local partners, went directly to people locally, who struggle to keep warm during the winter months. We were thrilled with the brilliant response!

We were pleased to be working with project originators, Hands on London, and local partners to collect and distribute clean, good quality second hand coats to people who need them in 2023.

The collection of coats, for men, women, young people or children, took place the last 2 weeks of October, with collection points in Honiton, Ottery St Mary, Sidmouth, South Molton and Tavistock.  Coats collected were distributed to charities and organisations that work with people who are in need of them.

824 coats and other items, including 6 new dog coats, were collected and distributed to local charities.

We are grateful to the following venues for being collection points:

Honiton - Tesco

Ottery St Mary - Ottery Help Scheme

Sidmouth - Sidmouth Library

South Molton - The Amory Centre, The Parish Church and Sainsburys

Tavistock - Fairway Furniture

Coats were distributed through local charities like Julian House, Ottery Help Scheme, Devon Libraries, The Freedom Centre and others.

More details are available on the Wrap Up website, which is in the process of being updated right now.  https://wrapupuk.org
