Henley Rotary & the Environment

Henley Rotary Club is committed to protecting the environment. We are members of Rotary's End Plastic Soup campaign, which is dedicated to reducing single-use plastic waste.

Henley Rotary was amongst the first Rotary Clubs in Britain organise a rubbish pick up (in our case, along the Thames) to highlight the deterioration of our countryside. We now regularly host the 1090 District's "Plastic Blitz".

But we are much more than litter pickers. We work closely with environmental groups such as Greener Henley and Surfers Against Sewage, host a monthly coffee morning solely on environmental issues, and have organised educational events on recycling, biodiversity, and climate change.
