Rotary 1010, Area G Primary School Quiz Final held at Stirling University in The Logie Lecture on Saturday 10th May 2025

Vice President Derek Anderson presents the winners Oakbank Primary School, Perth

On a very warm sunny day on the 10th May, Vice President Derek Anderson seen hear presenting Oakbank Primary School, Perth, the winners of the Rotary 1010 Area G, Primary School Quiz with the Silver Salver. This school team now go forward to the Rotary 1010 Final in Aberdeen.

Ten Primary School Quiz Teams from Area "G" who had all qualified earlier knock out rounds spent one and a half hours being quizzed over ten rounds of six questions per round. At stake, apart from the pride of being champions of this area, is a place in the Final to be held in Aberdeen.

The Rotary Club of Stirling organised this final again, held in The Logie Lecture Theatre at Stirling University. Derek's team of Don MacLeod, Alan Rankin, Allan Cheetham, Fiona Anderson and Robin Sutton ran an impressive afternoon, but the real stars were the forty children who all competed to a very high standard.

Our thanks also go to the supporting parents and teachers who accompanied the children, and we wish Oakbank all the very best in the final.
