A highlight of Guernsey’s events calendar, the Walk encourages relay teams of 4-7 participants to sign up for a set fee of £250, making it a fantastic opportunity for friends, families, and colleagues to experience the challenge collectively, allocating selected legs between themselves while supporting local causes.
Open to walkers of 7 years and older and all abilities, the event offers a unique way to explore Guernsey’s stunning coastal and countryside scenery while making a meaningful impact. The relay format fosters teamwork and camaraderie, ensuring that participants share in a collective sense of achievement.
Lisa Vizia, Director at Saffery Trust, said: “We are delighted to invite relay team registrations for this year’s Walk. This is an incredible way for people to come together, support one another, and raise vital funds for our local community.”
Lisa continued: “The relay team option makes the challenge more accessible and enjoyable, allowing participants to take on the route in seven manageable sections alongside the 1,000 walkers expected again this year. Plus, every step helps support a range of charitable causes across the island.”
Walk Chairman, Simon Milsted, added: “This event embodies the spirit of giving back. Whether you’re a corporate team looking for a rewarding team-building experience or a group of friends keen to take on a challenge together, we’d love for you to be part of Guernsey’s most challenging sponsored event. Meet up again at the finish to welcome your final walker across the finish line and share in the celebrations.”
Solo walkers are, of course, also welcome to take on the full 39 mile route, joining hundreds of others in making a difference for local charities.
Team Captains, lace up your walking shoes and sign up today to be part of this much-loved island tradition. Then set about building your relay team.
