 GROUP 8 YOUTH SPEAKS COMPETITION 2016

 

To all Group 8 Rotary Clubs:

Thank you for offering to help with Youth Speaks.

 

A reminder that this is a Black Tie event, at the request of the schools taking part in the competition.

Currently, we have twelve teams taking part - six Senior teams and six Intermediate teams.

 

Your Jobs : Ryde:  door stewards, seminar room, ground floor

                  Sandown:  door stewards, Anthony Minghella Theatre

                  Shanklin:  supervise competitors practising in Green Room

                  Vectis Sunrise:  usher people to seats after buffet

                  Ventnor:  usher downstairs people to theatre for    

                  presentations at end of competition

                  West Wight:  usher competitors from Green Room to

                  appropriate competition room

 

Please be at the Quay Arts Centre, Newport by no later than 16:45

on Wednesday, 10th February 2016 and please wear your Rotary Club name badge.

 

Parking: There are car parks opposite the Quay Arts Centre, Sea Street and at Little London, on the left, just as you approach the Centre from the Hursts end of the street. Charges are in operation until 18:00.

 

Competitors will arrive from 16:30.

The buffet will be served from 17:15 to 18:00 at a cost of £10.00 per adult and £5.00 per child.

If you require any special diets, please let me know as soon as possible, as these need to be ordered for you in advance.

 

The Competition will start at 18:15.

The Intermediate Competition will be held in the Seminar Room on the ground floor and the Senior Competition will be held upstairs, in the Anthony Minghella Theatre.

The Competition should finish by approximately 21:00.
