On a bright, but chillier than first appeared, evening of Tuesday 8 May Ryde
Rotarians abandoned the safety of their normal dinner venue and ventured out to
St Helens to walk the Duver. The walk was led by Carol Hamilton while her
husband, former Ryde Rotarian Robin, rounded up the stragglers at the rear,
whistle at the ready in case of emergency. “I counted them all out and I
counted them all back”.
After the walk many of the Rotarians, partners and friends adjourned to The Vine Inn
by St Helens Green to replenish all the calories burnt up.
