Isle of Wight Age UK ‘Celebrating Age Awards

Aspire had nominated Ryde Rotary in Colin Caldicott’s name for all the work he instigated and carried out with his team on behalf of the club, particularly the children’s play area. Mike Jukes also nominated the club in the name of then President Alan Truckel for his inspirational leadership and all the achievements of the club, raising funds to support local charities and good causes in 2016-17.

It was a pleasant surprise when both nominations were announced as joint second place in the category and the pictures show Colin and Alan with the awards.

Very well done to Colin and Alan and to all the Ryde Rotarians who helped to make these awards possible.
