The Club Assembly & Handover took place at Mansfield House Hotel with President Iain Smith passing the baton to his successor Mairhi Trickett. Iain reflected on the year past and wished Mairhi well in her second year in the role of Hawick's President. Mairhi then proceeded to invest George Hogg with his sash as her Vice President and to recognise Judy Tyler as Junior Vice President.
She then had the very happy task of welcoming a new member of Hawick Rotary, Keith Wight, and mentioning that there is the possibility of yet another two new members in the future.
Each Committee Convenor then spoke of their proposals for the year ahead, before District Secretary John Lafferty, deputising for indisposed Assistant Governor James Bruce, added his own comments.
