Race for Life 2025

I hope you’re all feeling well-rested after the weekend! I wanted to take a moment to say the windy weather was not on our side yesterday but thank you for the incredible energy, commitment, and teamwork you brought to Epsom and Ewell  Race for Life despite the weather - we are so grateful for your support.

Your help over the weekend was absolutely invaluable to both myself and the entire team at Cancer Research UK. Your enthusiasm, flexibility, and willingness to get truly stuck in made a world of difference. Because of your efforts, the event was a wonderful success for every single one of our participants.

To give you a sense of the impact you made:

• We saw 852 participants take on the challenge across 3k, 5k and 10k events.

• We’d raised so far £52,343 from this event for Cancer Research UK.

This fundraising can make a real, lasting difference. For example, in Glasgow, CRUK scientist Dr. Jennifer Morton is studying blood biomarkers to detect pancreatic cancer early. The funds raised from this one event alone could support two full years of her groundbreaking research. Dr. Morton’s work may lead to the development of early detection tests that can save lives—something you’ve now played a vital role in.  (or use another example that local)
