Young Rotary Competition Winners 2025!
We recently presented awards to 10 students in Farnborough for their achievements at District and local level in this year's Young Rotary competitions.
Farnborough 6th Form College students William Miles (pictured top left above) and Adam Pawley were, respectively, the winner of the Senior District Finals Young Photographer, and Highly Commended in the District Young Writer Competition. Farnborough Hill student Sienna Sheffield won the Intermediate Group District Young Photographer Competition, and she went on to achieve 3rd place in the Young Photographer National Competition. We also know that two girls from Farnborough Hill won the Young Artist District Competitions and have gone forward to the National Finals but those results are not yet available.
It was not only secondary students who took part this year; pupils from South Farnborough Junior School gained Highly Commended Certificates in the local Young Writer Junior Competition.
We also had some success in the Young Artist Competition, details of which will follow soon.

moreAs a part of its continuing support to PTH, the Club has embarked upon a Global Grant Appeal with the aim of raising sufficient funding to equip and furnish eight of the new in-patient rooms at the rebuilt Hospice.

Every year the Club provides the opportunity for four students from local schools to attend the RYLA, an intensive leadership experience organized by Rotary where they develop skills as leaders while having fun and making lasting connections.
