Primary Schools Garden Competition

Local schools shine in garden competition

St Brides Major Church in Wales Primary School and Llansannor Church in Wales Primary School were winners at the annual Cowbridge Rotary School’s Garden competition.

Mrs Mary Wallis from the Physic Garden in Cowbridge judged the competition and said that it was a very difficult decision to choose between the two schools. St Brides, who had established mini gardens for each class from year 2 upwards, won the award for best garden. Llansannor the award for best Design and Development having started from scratch in an area of long grass and bracken. Fellow Judge Bob Wilson from Cowbridge Rotary said the standard was very high but the ley factor that both schools had were extremely supportive staff, parents and most importantly enthusiastic pupils.
