Club sponsored Katie Davill gave a power-point presentation about her World Challenge community service expedition to Peru at the meeting this week.

Apart from tasks such as helping villagers with basic construction work each group member was expected to be  leader for a day.

Katie took charge of transport arrangements. Activities including a physically demanding trek.

Bill Stockill pointed out the importance of sponsorship for local young people in his vote of thanks.

Invitations to local primary schools to take part in 2010 literacy awards have been e-mailed.

RYLA and OYT candidate selection will take place in January and February 2010.
