The Club was saddened to learn of the death of Edwin [ Ted ] on his 90th birthday and extend their sympathies to his family.
John Crook recalled his outstanding work for Rotary last week and particularly his encouragement for children to extend their reading.
Ted had been a Rotary member for 34 years and a Paul Harris Fellow.
He could always be relied upon to respond positively in his work for the Club and to put service above self.
Alice Gill and Kerry- Louise Service gave a bright and enthusiastic account of their RYLA and OYT experiences this week.
Challenges were met and the value of teamwork appreciated.
They were clear examples of how important it was to sponsor young people on courses.
