Our Club is an integral part of our local community through our support of local charities and organisations. This is as well as supporting many international projects including “End Polio Now”, Sand Dams and “Shelterbox”.
Our Rotary Club – East Grinstead Meridian has been established for 30 years and our members enjoy a wide and varied programme together with many fund raising activities. During normal times we meet every Wednesday evening at the Dorset Arms, East Grinstead at 7.30pm for fellowship and a meal and the opportunity to listen to interesting speakers on a wide range of topics. Our speakers have covered many topics including recently - My life as a BBC cameraman, My year as Town Mayor, Mechanisation in the Post Office, Conservation in Ashdown Forest,.
We put fun into our fund raising by holding regular social events which include video race nights, concerts, murder mystery evenings, a charity golf day and our annual Christmas collections in the streets of East Grinstead and surrounding areas.
