Meridian Rotary Membership Services Team
Are you the type of person who wishes to contribute to your community with a group of like-minded people?
Do you believe that now is the time to put helping others above self-interest?
Are you willing to work in a group to tackle challenges that will benefit others both locally and internationally?
Do you like to have fun and an active friendly social scene with people from many different backgrounds?
Then Rotary could be for you.
Meridian Rotary is an integral part of our local community through our support of local charities and organisations. We also assist international Rotary projects including “End Polio Now”, Sand Dams in arid areas and “Shelterbox” – emergency shelters for people affected by natural disasters.
Meridian Rotary has been established for 30+ years and our members enjoy a wide and varied programme together with many fund raising activities. We meet on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesday evenings at the Dorset Arms, East Grinstead at 7.30pm for fellowship and a meal (optional) and the opportunity to listen to interesting speakers, take part in discussions and enjoy social activities like quizzes and outings. Recent talks have included “From Goodwood to Le Mans”, “Queen Victoria Hospital “and “The impact of Covid on education “ (by Sackville School’s Head Teacher).
We put fun into our fund raising by holding regular social events which include concerts, a charity golf day and our annual Christmas collections in the streets of East Grinstead and surrounding areas.
