How we raise funds to support local organisations and charities

The club carries out a great many different activities that raise funds to support local organisations and charities.  The annual "Carol Float" in Abington Street which was been a regular pre-Christmas presence in Northampton for many years is, regretably, no longer available to us - so we now raise funds from collections at garden centres and supermarkets,.

Car Boot Sales, The Boxing Evening and many other events like the recent Duck Race have, over the years, contributed many thousands of pounds to deserving, local organisations.  The Car Boot Sales are still looking for a new home at the moment, but it is hoped that we will be able to re-start these sometime in the future.

The four Northampton Clubs combine to organise the very successful Rotary Dragon Boat Festival in July and now, in addition, the Rotary Swimarathon, which is another, regular, annual event.

Money raised at these events is given to a wide range of local charities and organisations, as well as our own Rotary activities, like the world-wide eradication of Polio.
