Church and Oswaldtwistle Rotary are particulary active in the local community.  This is because a number of Rotarians have their different interests in the community.  They have persuaded the club to follow their lead and do something about the issues they find in the local community.  In this way fellowship in the club is fostered and the motto 'service above self' can be realised.

When Rotary fundraise they operate on two major levels.  The majority of their efforts are to raise money for local charities and voluntary organisation.  This allows them to build relationships with and help people in the local community.  Equally all Rotarians support the Rotary International charity fund which has a fund of many billions of pounds.  Wonderful things are done with this money on the international stage - click here for more details.
