WE DID IT, WITH YOUR HELP!

YES, the Rotary Club of Wendover and District and the good people of Wendover, Bucks, Berks, Herts, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall and even Germany and France have helped us surpass our MASSIVE bra-target of 15,000 bras collected over 3 years. D-Cup-Day was 30th June 2014 and we ALL did it! So we have come to the end of this three year project that has made us so many friends the world over.

The bras that have been collected have helped and will help, many women in third world countries and those bras that are not sent abroad, have been  sold on as material waste. To date we have been paid over £600 (for the material waste) and this money is sent directly to Breast Cancer Research.

It has truly been a win-win collection all round. WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU, your friends, families, neighbours and work colleagues for the determined endeavour.

WE WOULD ALSO THANK the many Wendover businesses that have supported this project by keeping pink Bra-Banks on their premises. These supporters include; The Raj, Costa, Twist, The Florence Nightingale Hospice Shop, The Flower Gallery and The Clock Tower. In Tring; Pictons, The Lingerie Shop and Tring Together Business Mart and we are really grateful for their splendiferous support.

The following media outlets have kept everyone abreast of this massive project and of our amazing community;
    The Wendover News,
    The Bucks Herald,
    The Tring Gazette
    BBC Three Counties Radio, and others.

We have a feeling another BUST group (Breast Uplift and Support Team), will take up the challenge to beat the 15K bra collection over the next 3 years and we will be very happy to help a group get started on this exciting challenge and further BUST stories and photos may yet appear in future editions of the Wendover News.

So finally a massive THANK YOU from the Rotary Club of Wendover and District and also from the thousands of recipients of your generosity.
