What We Do ...

What does a Rotary Club actually do?

Watford Rotary Club is one of more than 34,000 clubs worldwide that form the international Rotary movement. The club meets weekly over a meal at the Oddfellows Hall. The club is open to men and women who wish to put something back into the community or support national and international causes It is also a chance to enjoy meeting socially, have some fun, and make new friends and contacts.

Our meetings alternate between lunchtime and evenings, we regularly have speakers, and at business meetings we discuss current club business and projects.

We have a variety of fund-raising and hands-on projects. In a typical year we would be involved in the following -

  • Senior Citizens' Summer Party
  • A concert or other entertainment in the autumn
  • Young Chef competition
  • Youth Speaks competition
  • Christmas float collection for charity
  • Senior Citizens' Carol Concert and Christmas Party
  • Young Musician competition
  • Technology Tournament
  • Quiz night
  • Race night
  • Kids Out
  • Shoebox project
