Supporting Others in the Community

Supporting other organisations and individuals in the community is an important aspect of the Club' activities.

One of the Club‘s guest speakers were Frances and Emily from Llamau (Old Welsh for steps). An organisation that believes no young person or vulnerable woman should ever have to experience homelessness. Their mission is to eradicate homelessness for young people and vulnerable women. But for thousands of the most vulnerable people in Wales, homelessness is a frightening reality.
Many people think the job of a homelessness charity will be to provide accommodation - a safe place to stay. But it became very clear that for most people who are facing homelessness, their problems are far more complex than a lack of permanent shelter.
Llamau treats everyone who needs their support as an individual. Recognising their unique strengths and needs and making sure that they are supported to rebuild their futures.
Like Rotary Llamau is a value based organisation There values are - We Respect, We Listen, We Encourage, We Learn and We Don't Give Up.
