Young Carers' BBQ

Mon, Jul 14th 2014 at 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Sailing and BBQ for Young Carers at Lackford Lakes in Suffolk.

Bury Abbey Rotary Club provide sailing lessons, transport and a BBW for a group of young carers. These youngsters are aged between 8 and 15 and are responssible for looking after a parent(s) or sibling(s) and don't get the chance of a normal social life. This has become an annual event for us and every one involved looks forward to it immensly.

This year the weather was fine with a light breeze that could have been a little stronger for the sailors but fun was had by all and the BBQ was once again decimated. An excellent evening.
