The Rotary Club of Elland are proud to support a wide range of activities for young people across the town.

We organise an annual choir festival dedicated to the memory of long standing Youth Chairman Norman Kemp which encourages all the local primary schools to perform a selection of songs for the public in a friendly and non-competitive setting.

We run a local heat for the Calderdale wide primary school quiz which pits teams of year 6 pupils from across the area against each other to win the trophy.

We work closely with The Brooksbank School to submit entrant for a range of District and National Rotary competitions. These include:

Young Photographer

Young Artist

Young Writer

Youth Speaks - Team debating contest

Young Musician

We also sponsor students to take part in Ryla - the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards in order to produce the leaders of tomorrow.

We also hold 'Mock Interviews' for the pupils at Brooksbank School and give advice on what to expect in a 'Real' interview

If you want any more information about any of these activities and how to take part, please get in touch.
