President Peter Mehta welcomed members; there were no visitors and also no speaker, as this was a Business event. The president had attended an Inner Wheel meeting, visited Dunblane and Bridge of Allan club and made an appearance at the Scouting Review, to which he was accompanied by past secretary Jim Kerr. The treasurer and secretary presented their reports, as did various conveners. Membership has increased significantly since last year, the most recent recruit being Jan Anderson, whose arrival brings the female contingent to four The Primary School Quiz takes place in the Albert Halls on Saturday, 19th. of March. A few additional volunteers would be helpful , to support the running of this popular event, please contact Derek Anderson.
The young Euroscholars have returned from the European Parliament in Strasbourg where they participated in debates conducted entirely in French. We expect to receive a verbal report soon, hopefully in English. On Sunday March 13th., the President and Communications Convener Ranald Ross-Watt attended a meeting of District 1010 at the Station Hotel in Perth. These meetings provide a good insight into the workings of Rotary at district level, as well as making and renewing acquaintances and friendships.
