Island Walk Sponsored by TMF Group

Each year Rotary Club de la Manche supports the Island Walk Sponsored by TMF Group. The walk has been known to raise up to £100,000 for local charities with over 1600 walkers starting the challenge.

This is one of Jersey’s biggest one-day fundraising events which over the past 30 years has raised in the region of £2.4m for local charities with over 1000 walkers each year, young and old, taking on the challenge of either walking the entire 48 mile course or the slightly less daunting 13 mile relay and Lieutenant Governor’s events. RCDLM started to support the Walk and its Trustees in 2001 when the growth and success of the event led to the organisers requiring help in the run up to the Walk and on the day itself. RCDLM now organises and mans the start of the Walk, drives the vans that transport walker essentials from checkpoint to checkpoint and assists in the organisation of, and sourcing of helpers for, the various checkpoints. The Walk takes place in June of each year and is currently sponsored by the local financial services firm, TMF Group. Further information is available at the Walk’s website at www.islandwalk.je.
