Following our own Glasgow Heat in December 2015, which was run in conjunction with Glasgow City Council we had a representative in each of the two finals. “Voice” and “Instrumental”
We are delighted to advise that 15 year old Ruairidh Geddes, a pupil at Hyndland Secondary School was RUNNER UP in the instrumental Final, where there were 17 competitors. Ruairidh, a violinist , will join the winner, Sean Morrison, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Alloway at the Regional Final ( Scotland and the North East of England) on Saturday 16 April at North Inch Community Campus, Gowans Terrace Perth PA1 5BF, when the winners of each section will go forward to the RGBI National Final which will be held on Saturday 30 April at Abraham Darby Academy, Ironbridge Road, Madeley, Telford.
In the competition for Vocalists, where there were 12 competitors our representative, 16 Year old Holly Garrick from King’s Park Secondary School was not placed but gave an excellent performance.
The picture shows Ruairidh on the LHS along with District Governor Andy Lees and the winner, Sean Morrison.
