The Games Evening

This years games evening was arranged by last years winners Myles and Liz. and didn't they do great job! The first surprise was the new venue of the Roman Catholic Church in Priory road. A splendid building which was admired by all. There were ten games for members to pit their wits against including Bar Billiards, Close the Box, and Wendy's What is in the Bag? Sheila brought along her Shove Halfpenny board and new this year was a marvellous Subbuteo table from Jon Rosten. ( I think the ref's decision was a bit dodgy on a few of the goals.) Lots of picture puzzles to test members knowledge of Music, Hungerford, Advertising, Historical People and Household Objects. The food was excellent and plentiful. Many thanks to Myles, Liz and everyone that help for making this a fantastic evening. The winners were David Small and Francis. Well done to them. We look forward to them arranging another great games night next year.
