I am sure that the whole club will be interested to know that all sixteen members who registered to play last evening all turned up on time all had their pockets fleeced and all seemed to enjoy the sandwiches and cakes. Note has been passed to Carole regarding the new sugar tax.
The winners of the first round were then playing in the High Road which eventually ended with a Wylie victory over Iain Smith.
The losers in the first round were then playing in The Low Road. This produced much hilarity and not much good snooker, however it was won by Douglas Locke who narrowly beat Mark Merley in the final.
Both winners received a bottle of wine and Ian Smith rounded off the evening with a vote of thanks to the organisers and purveyors of the goodies.
After table expenses and gratuities the club charitable fund has benefitted by £100.
A good night was had by all.
Harry
