Committee meetings

A lively meeting this evening, starting with a cake presentation to our President, Bernadette who's birthday was today. Clyde told us about the many Rotary Clubs he had visited on a recent holiday to the Americas, and Ray explained about the rather nice lady he's met in Bangkok called Lola. She turned out to be president of a Rotary Club in Toronto who was on her way to Laos to help with a Rotary project in that country. Linda and Carol reported back from the recent district seminar, explaining how we need to be promoting our club in this modern digital world. Thankfully we are doing most of it already! It was also a pleasure to welcome Sharon and Kay as guests to our meeting, two people very much involved in what goes on in our area. Calm was finally restored as we eventually broke into our various committees, and the real work began.
