THE VALE OF BERKELEY RAILWAY

Rob Carruthers was our speaker on Wednesday 19th April, his subject was The Vale of Berkeley Railway.

It was an interesting and enlightening talk about the plans to renovate and re-open the track, renovate the engines and other stock.

Their plan is to relocate the Winchester Railway Museum to Berkeley Station which will draw enthusiasts and visitors to the site.

This is a huge undertaking but with over 80 volunteers some of whom are skilled and others who will learn from them, what is evident is the total commitment to the project.
