New member for Senlac Rotary Club - Caroline Aherne
Wed 2nd August 2017 at 19.00 - 22.00
Caroline Aherne was inducted into the Rotary Club of Senlac on 2nd August 2017. Caroline was born and brought up in Fulham and attended secondary school at Hurlingham. She owned a recruitment consultancy where she worked until she was bought out and then spent her time looking after her family. Caroline moved to Bexhill with her family about ten years ago and 18 months ago opened up a domiciliary care agency in the town. Married to Patrick, a keen golfer, they have two daughters, the elder at Warwick University and the younger at a local college. Caroline was a guest speaker at the club earlier in the year in her role as an East Sussex Trading Standards Scam Champion. Her visit gave her a greater insight into Rotary and its place in the community and, after chatting with Mark Sayce, she decided she would like to join so she could work with like-minded people making a positive contribution to the community. Caroline is already much involved with the local community and, apart from being a Scam Champion, she is also a Dementia Champion.
As I write this Caroline is preparing for a week away in Stuttgart to accompany Patrick on a BMW golfing tournament – a prize he won for third place in a BMW tournament at the infamous St Andrew’s Golf Club. Enjoy the hospitality both of you!
