Friendship Cafe

We fund and run the Yelverton Friendship Cafe that meets fortnightly at Briar Tor Community Rooms. This is a free social drop-in group for carers or sufferers of dementia and memory loss to enjoy a social time with people in similar situation.

We recently installed a defibrillator outside Yelverton Doctors Surgery and run a series of courses to teach the local community how to use it and basic CPR techniques. Contact Rotarian Ross Dent (see below) for details of the next available course.

We help local young people develop and learn through a wide range of activities

We raise money locally and distribute it to local good causes, international charities and to Rotary Foundation, Rotary's own charity that funds service projects close to home and around the world.

We organise and participate in a wide range of events to enhance local life and fundraise for worthy causes.

We do a lot of fundraising and do tremendous work in the community making peoples' lives better, at home and internationally. But perhaps most importantly, WE HAVE FUN while we are doing it.
