St Chad has a thriving book club comprising around 12 members and partners. Every six weeks or so we select a book, read it and meet up to critique the book, resulting in some very interesting and thought-provoking discussions. Where there is an accompanying film of the book there is also the opportunity to either see it at the cinema as a group or view on DVD as appropriate and later compare and contrast the two. The group leader keeps a record of our scoring of each book based on plot, characters, style and overall enjoyment and there are always surprising results!
Here are the books we have read, up to December 2020. It is interesting that a "classic" has topped the table for quite some time, and also of interest is the range of the scores the books have been given!
