Rotary Parkstone

Meeting at Royal Motor Yacht Club

Sandbanks Peninsula with view of Poole Harbour

A warm welcome to our website. We are Rotary Parkstone and in 2020 we reached our 50th Anniversary. We continue to support the local community in every way we can - volunteering to help out our Community Partners and engaging with local Business Partners, raising funds to support local and global causes. This year we are supporting a number of small charities including food banks, the homeless, environmental projects.
Friends of Dolphin cruises for the disabled (A charity started by Rotary Parkstone more than 40 years ago) and our 2023-24 featured Charity - Faithworks, a local charity that cares for the homeless, operates foodbanks and provides debt advice services. Globally, we continue to raise money for Rotary's End Polio Now. The Jaipur Limb clinic in Uganda where those who have lost limbs can be equipped with prosthetic limbs in a purpose-built unit equipped with funds raised by Rotary Parkstone.

We always welcome like-minded, active people from all walks of life, who can contribute to the success of our activities. It's not all work and no play; we have monthly walks and cycle rides through our beautiful countryside and coastline and regular sporting activities against other clubs.

So why not join us? We meet on Thursday evenings for supper at the Royal Motor Yacht Club in Sandbanks on the second and fourth Thursday of each month (except August) and the second meting each month we have a speaker. I look forward to meeting you soon!

Alasdair Bavister

President 2023-24
