Burns night

Wed, Jan 29th 2020 at 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

To celebrate the birth of Robbie Burns

A traditional celebrtation of Robbie Burns.

With support from piper Tony Hurst and Mark, chef at the Frocester, our haggis is ceremonially piped into the meeting.

To be greeted by President Jan, proudly wearing her family Gordon tartan.  (She had kept her Scottish heritage secret from most of us until now!)

Robbie Burns' traditional address to the haggis, and the Selkirk grace  (both from Jan)  were followed by our traditional haggis, neeps and tatties,  and completed by an excellent Cranachan desert.

Thank you to Tony, and Mark and the staff at the Frocester for enhancing an excellent evening.
