Emily Atherton [Herald Editor] - History of C&W Herald - ZOOM

At our latest Zoom meeting we were treated to a very interesting talk from the editor of the “Cumberland and Westmorland Herald” Emily Atherton. She first gave us a short history of the 180 years the paper has been running and then much more detail on how the paper has this year coped with almost going into administration and then, of course, Covid 19. The talk was attended by 24 members and friends of Penrith Rotary which showed the amount of interest in this local publication.
