This year's handover meeting with strickly observed social distancing
In an age-old traditional ceremony, each year the retiring President of the Rotary Club passes the chain of office onto his successor. Similarly, the President Elect passes his chain of office onto his successor.
In these Covid aware times at the Rotary Club of Hungerford, our regular meetings have been cancelled and so a new approach was required.
Maintaining social distancing, the tradition was maintained in an outdoor ceremony, using a mannequin as an intermediary as shown in the video that follows. The video was then shown to the whole club during our regular Zoom meeting that evening.
Covid 19 was not going to beat the Rotary Club of Hungerford.
