Our talk will be from Jane Walker of the charity Purple Community Fund which works with children and families living and working on rubbish sites in the Philippines.

The link above prvides information on the background of our speaker Jane Walker. Jane gave up a job in the newspaper industry to set up two charities to try to provide a future for the children who live on the rubbish heaps of Manila. She has been awarded with an MBE in recognition of her work.
