Speaker Meeting: Steve Gale , District 1240 - Crowdfunding

Rtn. Steve Gale, Member of the Rotary Club of Thorpe Bay, Area 1 Assistant Governor and District 1240 Crowdfunding Champion, will be our Speaker on 19th April, on Crowdfunding.  He will be joined by PDG Garth Arnold, Member of the Rotary Club of Donaghadee, D1160 and Crowdfunding Champion for RotaryGBI.

What is Crowdfunding? It is a method of raising additional funds through the collective effort of friends, family and people associated with your project.

This approach taps into the collective efforts of a large pool of individuals—primarily online via social media and crowdfunding platforms—and leverages their networks for greater reach and exposure.

It is not a new idea.  It is just now that technology and providers making available crowdfunding platforms have made it easier to do.
