Covid in Ludhiana India

Record covid fundraiser for CMC hospital in Ludhiana India

With immense gratitude to all our donors, the Rotary Club of Hounslow announces a record fundraiser of £16,000 for covid relief for the Christian Medical College (CMC) and Hospital in Ludhiana, Punjab, India,

a populous industrial city very badly affected by covid.

In 10 days, the fundraising appeal by Hounslow Rotarian Arvind Jain for the CMC in Ludhiana, home to relatives and friends, brought in the staggering amount of
£16,000.

The money was remitted to a Rotarian contact at the CMC and allowed the immediate purchase of oxygen concentrators, essential drugs, PPE and other much needed medical equipment.

Donations were received from members’ families, work colleagues and Rotarians across the UK and Europe.

Hounslow’s twin Rotary Club, Rotenburg in Germany alone donated
5,000 Euros.
