Our Club
The Rotary Club of Crowthorne and Sandhurst is a small but
active Club with a roughly even split between male and female members, creating
a broad range of ideas and activities.
We have a flexible approach to meeting and aim to meet twice
a month, once as a social event involving a meal and once on-line to discuss
upcoming activities and events. Both types of meetings may involve guest
speakers representing the groups and charities we work with or those who simply
very interesting.
Social events range from traditional Christmas lunches and
theatre trips to slot car racing. BBQs and fun evenings are often hosted at member’s
houses.
Fundraising encompasses traditional collections, often in
support of a major event such as Children In Need, Quiz Nights, and support for
local events. Our flagship event the New Year’s Day Walk takes place in the lovely
grounds of Wellington College, Crowthorne.
We welcome new members as they bring fresh ideas and objectives; we are always willing to try something new.
We are NOT what is often considered to be a traditional Rotary Club.
