Rotary International and Rotary Club Northampton Becket have decided to engage and support the environmental movement in the UK and more specifically in the Northampton area

We are seeking partners who can champion environmental causes and initiatives where we may be able to offer support and assistance aimed at making our environment more hospitable and sustainable for today and for future generations.

In 2021 the Club assisted members in creating wild flower areas  in their own garden. This was followed in early December with a  collaborative project with Hardingstone Parish Council to plant  trees along the boarder of  the local recreation ground. This project was led by Lynn Kitchen  and also involved the local scout group and a number of  residents from the area. The planting, (an afternoon event)  closed in a very social manner with participants taking tea in  church hall with catering provided by the local branch of the W.I. Environmental Projects can be enjoyable, healthy and foster  new friends.

more Rewilding your garden, or an area of your garden, will help promote biodiversity, promote a better environment for insects and pollinators, and improve what is already doing a great job for wildlife.
